What does PicLens look like?
Check this video bitch.
I can’t see anything?!
If you don’t have PicLens Lite installed you won’t be able to see the full 3D gallery > See “How To Install PicLens” below.
If you have Javascript turned off, or some kind of funky browser (anything other then Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari) you probably won’t be able to see the gallery.
If you don’t want to install PicLens or turn on your Javascript - you can view the gallery without PicLens here
How To Install PicLens
PicLens is massively sweet. Once you have seen it there is no going back.
To install, go to the Piclens website here, and click on the big green download button on the right hand side.
PicLens don’t to the best of my knowledge install a toolbar, spyware, malware, adware or anything else I would consider bad - so worry not.
Something has loaded, but its not the super-cool 3D thing in the animation above
Damn son, you got no patience! You went straight to the gallery without installing PicLens, how many times have I got to tell you? Without PicLens installed it displays a not-so-great slideshow application. Click on the “Widescreen” button in the top right, or go to PicLens and download PicLens Lite
Its taking ages to load
If you have done everything right as above (installed PicLens) and restarted your browser after the PicLens installation - then everything should be fine. Sometimes the first time the 3D Gallery loads it can take (absolute worst case scenario) up to a minute before you will see any pictures.
Still won’t load?
It could be a technical issue or something that could takes ages to fix… and lets face it, who gives a shit?
You have three options:
- Restart your computer and have a cup of tea
- Go to the Pic Lens support page and hope they do a better job
- Visit the good old-fashioned Graffiti gallery without sodding PicLens
Uploading Pictures
How Do I Upload Pictures
Email them over to stainer1 (atnoospamm) googlemail (dot) com
No files over approx 1mb please
In the not too immediate future we should have an upload form sorted
Is there a maximum filesize?
No files over approx 1mb (1000kb) please. If your files are straight off your digital camera, there is a high chance they are massive files (right click > properties, to find out).
How do I make my pictures smaller?
Adobe Photoshop is the daddy! If you can’t get this, try using a free/open source image editor like gimp or picassa. You could even upload them to an online photo site like flickr - who will compress the image just right - without you having to even think about it.
